October 1 marks the beginning of the 4-H calendar year and the 4-H Technology Program is excited to be back in the thick of bringing technology offerings to the youth of Snohomish County! We have a great line up of projects this year and it will be exciting to see our youth get back into robotics, computer science, aerospace, and more!
This year, we are offering youth the experience of FIRST Robotics now through December for our youngest with First Lego League Explore and kids 9 - 14 with First Lego League Challenge. For the older youth 14 - 18, we are sponsoring a FTC team. We have aspirations of bringing back Team 4309 in the new year and if you know of high school youth looking for a team, please let us know!
New this year will be a coding project. Girls who Code (but really open to everyone) will launch this year with focus on a programming language, python or Java. If you have a youth interested in programming, this will be a great opportunity to learn more about it.
And finally, we have our Minecraft project! An overwhelming success last year with the construction of the Evergreen State Fairgrounds, we are continuing the experience with a new challenge, the nation's capital!
All of our experiences are available to youth from any background in Snohomish County. Check us out!
